The island of Barbados offers some of the most luxurious hotels in the Caribbean. From the iconic Sandy Lane with its incredible Green Monkey golf course, though to the family-run Coral Reef Club, the west coast has an abundance of hotels to choose from.
However, why not consider a villa or luxury apartment? Even if you are a family or small group this option offers you space and flexibility. Most villas and even apartments will be supplied with a team to look after you, from housekeeper, cook and gardener. The island of Barbados offers villas directly on the beach or even consider one slightly inland with views over the Sandy Lane golf course? I recently stayed at the fabulous St Peters Bay, which offers one, two and three-bedroom luxury beachfront apartments located near Speightstown. This is a wonderful location with Nikki Beach nearby too. We then moved to Villa Vistamar on the Sandy Lane estate set within two acres of gardens. A wonderful four-bedroom villa, with an additional two-bedroom cottage in the garden. This was perfect for our “family and friends” holiday and the 10 of us had plenty of space to relax.
Having so many contacts in Barbados it was easy to arrange restaurant reservations, horse riding and also a sunset Catamaran cruise. A villa holiday offers you a perfect solution for the multi-generational holiday with family or a great option for friends wanting to celebrate a special birthday.
